Halloween

This is the first Halloween where Brylie really knows what everything is and what is going on. She knew she would go trick-or-treating for candy. She knew she would get a pumpkin. She knew she could dress up. Brylie chose her very own pumpkin. She painted it, and I carved a happy face.
Brylie also chose her costume. She chose to be a pink crayon. This Halloween is also the first one where she knows what it feels like to be scared. We were at Lowe's and a big skeleton scared her. Ever since then, she has pointed out all the scary things associated with Halloween. And, that happens to be alot. We still talked about how fun it was going to be. So, Halloween finally came. She was all dressed up. Daddy, sissy, and Brylie went outside. She saw the first scary thing across the street and burst into tears! She cried and cried. Honestly, we thought it was a bust this year. I came downstairs after putting Reagan to sleep, and they were trying again. Sissy saved the day. She talked Brylie into it and comforted her when she was scared. It turned out to be a success.

This whole "scared" thing is probably going to linger. She wanted a night light. She wants us to sometimes check her closet. I hate seeing her so scared. I know this too shall pass. Reagan didn't make an appearance this Halloween. Her bedtime is way too early. The next one will be fun with a 4 year old and 1 year old!
